vandaag

jouw armen
om mij heen
dichten de gaten
in mijn geheugen
van gisterenavond

laat mij nog
maar even liggen
want mijn was
is nog niet droog
laat mij liggen
tot ik weer
buiten durf te komen
lief het licht
is zo fel

omarm mijn
zwakke plekken
tot ze weer
geheeld zijn
want ik wil
heel veel zijn

maar lief het
licht is zo fel
en mijn schaduw
is verloren
en het
donker gebroken

lief hou je handen
voor mijn ogen
want ik ben
niet klaar
voor vandaag

Lilac

She is terrifying and gorgeous. She wraps herself around me and bruises fade into skin that will never be the same again. I am engraved to her lilac hands and the watercolor she leaves with every touch. She is an artist and a masterpiece herself. She is unknowingly living in a frame that captures more worth she could ever imagine. She can never be bid on, or sold to the richest alive. She chooses where to go and where to stay. All I ever wanted was to see her colors and the trail of stardust she leaves behind. I am the next masterpieces, painted by lilac hands.

lach voor mij

wees niet naΓ―ef
laat je gewoontes los
open je ogen
de horizon is in zicht

waarom ben je
zo negatief
zo vervreemd van
zomerliefdes en zonlicht

weeg je waarde
het is meer dan dit
vertel mij waarom
je voor minder zwicht

hou je taai
en stevig vast
geef niet op
de weg is verlicht

al doe je maar
net alsof toch
ben je mooier met
een lachend gezicht

Flowers

I don’t think I’ve seen it all but it has been enough. I’ve seen how our lives transformed. It aint all sunshine and smiles but I love the way you can break and be vunerable in my arms. If you leave now, I’ll have a story to tell. I could go on for days talking about how we fell in love. I’d think about you non-stop for at least a year cause we’ve left our marks. I’ve had enough. I have the flowers and the chocolates and your touch engraved in my skin. I have your smell on my sheets and photos for each day. Leave now and it wont stop me from loving you. It wont stop me from waking up and still be dreaming cause you were there. You were there and I’ve seen enough to love you for as long as I can.
