It never got better.
We waited.
Every morning I woke up alone but went to bed with your blood on my sheets. We had torn the trust and ripped like the reckless. You pushed out of panic and broke all beauty. We made a hazard out of our home and closed the curtains. I never felt happy. I felt dazed and drunk and deeply sorry.
Can you set me free?
Can you let me go, let me walk home on my own?
Can you give me back all my astonishing dreams?
We were prisoners to love.
