Loose ends

She was a resilient wanderer who lost her heart on the streets after the lights had dimmed
And she said that he couldn’t keep her because of this claustrophobic tension in her body
She slept with her shoes beside her bed to always be prepared to run when the world would collapse again
But you could borrow some peaceful nights together, and maybe someday we will make it
But for now there are too much loose ends and shoes untied and warriors in my mind
